Our Dental Clinic
Oral ulcers and lesions are painful sores that can appear on the tongue, gums, inner cheeks, or lips. Common causes include stress, accidental bites, sharp teeth, ill-fitting dental appliances, or underlying health conditions. While most ulcers heal within 1–2 weeks, persistent or recurrent sores may indicate infections, nutritional deficiencies, or more serious conditions like oral cancer.
Symptoms can include burning, discomfort while eating or speaking, and visible red or white patches. Maintaining good oral hygiene, avoiding spicy or acidic foods, and using recommended mouth rinses can promote healing. Consult a dentist for diagnosis and treatment if symptoms persist or worsen.
